Reasons to buy a Mcusta knife

Mcusta chooses the best materials for every knife. The focus lies on durability, function and aesthetics. The knives are enhanced with stunning materials such as decorative Damascus steel, micarta, anodized aluminium and remarkable types of wood.

Production method of Mcusta pocket knives

Mcusta uses a different manufacturing method than many other pocket knife brands. They do not stamp the knives from large sheets of steel, but the components are cut with a laser and then machined in a CNC machine. In this way, they guarantee the most accurate result possible. Then each knife is assembled by hand, adjusted, finished and inspected by a team of highly qualified professionals.

Mcusta knives: the blade

Mcusta is a Japanese knife brand known for its excellent pocket knives and kitchen knives. Mcusta knives are always made of premium steel types, such as VG10 steel. The use of high-quality materials ensures an excellent balance between sharpness, durability and corrosion resistance. The blade shapes vary depending on the specific model. Mcusta's knives are ergonomically designed and have a beautiful finish.

Mcusta knives: the handle

Mcusta knives are praised for their superior quality handles, made from luxurious woods or premium types of plastic such as G10. Each material is carefully selected by the designers with an eye on the knife's design, appearance and intended function. Mcusta's commitment to craftsmanship is reflected in each detail.

History of Mcusta

Mcusta knives are made in Seki, Japan. Since the 13th century, this has been the knife capital of Japan. Seki is the perfect place for this thanks to the high amount of iron-rich soil, charcoal and water. Everything you need to make top quality knives. Mcusta is closely connected to the Zanmai kitchen knives and Silky scissors. These three brands are part of Marusho Industry, Inc. which was created in 1964 for the production of scissors. Mcusta was created in 2000 for the production of pocket knives and Zanmai in 2006 for the production of kitchen knives. Nowadays, the products of these prestigious brands are still made in Seki, Japan.
