Features of the Microtech Amphibian
The Microtech Amphibian is a sturdy, premium pocket knife weighing 170 grams, with a length of 23.5 cm. The tough-looking design of the recurve drop-point blade is very impressive. This remarkable shape offers functional advantages in cutting tasks where precision and pulling power are essential. This makes the knife particularly suitable for situations such as cutting ropes, handling materials during outdoor activities or performing precise cutting in tactical or emergency scenarios.
Microtech Amphibian blade
The iconic Amphibian blade, 9.8 cm long and 4 mm thick, is the most distinctive feature of this model. Available with stonewashed, apocalyptic stonewash or (partially) black coated finish. There is a choice between a serrated blade or a plain edge. A serrated knife is effective for cutting tough materials like rope and plastic, ideal for emergency situations. The blade is made from high-quality steels such as M390MK, a premium stainless steel specifically optimised for Microtech's manufacturing process.
Microtech Amphibian handle
The ergonomically curved handle, made of G10 or lightweight carbon fibre, offers a modern look and firm grip. Thanks to its texture, the knife is grippy even in wet conditions or with gloves. The reversible pocket clip makes the knife suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users.
Microtech Amphibian locking mechanism
The Amphibian is equipped with a large thumb hole and the Ram-Lok mechanism, which is Microtech's very own version of the Crossbar Lock. Thanks to the single robust internal spring and X-Buttons on both sides, the knife is fully ambidextrous. Paired with precision-milled components, this ensures particularly smooth and reliable operation even under high loads.
