Benchmade SOCP knives

SOCP stands for Special Operations Combatives Program, the training programme Greg Thompson set up and where he has been training special forces for over twenty years. He designed the series for people whose gear is already full: every knife in the line is so slim and so light that it never gets in the way.

Features of the Benchmade SOCP

All SOCP knives share the same starting points. Flat, light and full tang, with the steel of the blade running right through into the handle. At the end, the tang usually protrudes slightly, so you can use it for striking or breaking. The handle parts are milled out to save weight without making the knife flimsy.

Benchmade SOCP dagger

The dagger is the best-known model in the series. Double-edged and kept so slim that it hardly stands out under clothing or between your gear. Each one comes with a certificate bearing the words “Born in the line of duty”.

The series also includes compact variants, a folding knife and a rescue cutter that cuts through belts and clothing without bringing a point near the skin. There is also a training version without an edge.

The sheaths can be carried in many ways: on a belt, inside your gear or on MOLLE webbing, with a steel click system that keeps the knife in place. For everyday work rather than tactical use, the Benchmade Dacian is the better choice.
