Features of IPX7 torches

An IPX7 torch has a fully sealed housing that keeps water out, even if the lamp briefly goes under. That makes this class suitable for water sports, fishing and work in wet conditions, where the lamp occasionally ends up in the water.

Let the lamp dry thoroughly after a dip before opening the battery cap, so you prevent moisture from getting inside after all. Check the sealing ring regularly for wear.
