Morakniv Amberg

The Morakniv Amberg knives are all-round outdoor knives, designed for short walks and long bushcraft adventures. The name Amberg refers to the Swedish countryside around Mora, where forests, lakes and mountains provide the backdrop for the outdoor life from which Morakniv draws its inspiration. With this in mind, Morakniv has created a knife for a wide range of outdoor tasks, such as wood carving, fire-making and general campsite chores. Whichever nature adventure you’re heading out on, with a Morakniv Amberg you’ll always have the right knife with you!

Features of the Morakniv Amberg

The Morakniv Amberg series has been designed as a reliable and versatile outdoor knife for people who enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. The knives are designed for everyday outdoor tasks such as wood carving, preparing food whilst camping and building fires.

The Amberg blade

The blade of the Morakniv Amberg is designed for tougher outdoor tasks. The 3.2 mm thick blade with a Scandi grind gives you maximum control when carving wood and can be sharpened quickly and easily, even in the woods. This makes the Amberg knives ideal for bushcraft tasks such as making feather sticks and tent pegs. The blades are available in both Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel and C100S carbon steel with a DLC coating. 12C27 steel offers good corrosion resistance and requires little maintenance, whilst C100S carbon steel is known for its toughness and the ease with which it can be resharpened.

The Amberg handle

The handle is made of TPE, a thermoplastic elastomer that feels slightly rubbery yet is highly durable. This material ensures a secure grip, even in damp or cold circumstances.

The Amberg sheath

The Morakniv Amberg comes with a plastic sheath. As the holster consists of two parts and is reversible, it can be worn on either the left or right side of the belt. This way, you can carry the knife within easy reach, whether you're left- or right-handed.
