Doble O Knives Ronin 2.1
With the introduction of the Ronin 2.1 in 2025, the knife represents a clear evolution of the original 2024 Ronin 2.0 design. It was designed by Ovidio Calvet, with support from Pablo Movilla. Where the Ronin 2.0 with its modified tanto blade already excelled with three functional cutting edges, a hollow grind for precision work, a flat grind for powerful chopping and pressure setting, and a false edge for improved penetration, the Ronin 2.1 builds on this with refinements in steel grade, coatings, markings, ergonomics and carrying comfort. The Ronin 2.1 has again been introduced in three thematic versions: tactical-black, desert-tan and bushcraft-green. A striking new element of the Ronin 2.1 is the leather sheath with multiclip, equipped with an integrated kydex ring, ideal for carrying a firesteel or compact torch (diameter opening 1.4 cm). Inside the sheath there is also an additional kydex liner. This subtle and thoughtful addition counteracts rusting in long-term storage and ensures firm retention of the knife, without compromising the classic look of leather. Perfect for those who love the traditional look of a leather sheath but want the benefits of modern materials.

Doble O Knives was founded by Ovidio Calvet, a knife maker based in Mexico who has a passion for design. After more than 35 years of collecting knives and seven years of experience as a knife maker, Ovidio made the switch and started selling his craft in his workshop in Mexico City, under the name Doble O Knives. The brand appeared on the radar of enthusiasts in the early 2020s and gained prominence around 2023-2024, thanks in part to models like the Ronin and Odisey X. Although Doble O is still in a relatively early growth phase, the brand has now become an exclusive player within the high-end segment of the knife world. The emphasis is not on mass production, but on uniqueness, craftsmanship and uniqueness.
