History of Flexcut

Flexcut's history began in 1986, when the company was founded under the name Falls Run Woodcarving. Initially, the company primarily operated as a specialised woodcarving workshop and woodcarving school. In 1992, the company began to innovate and created a new generation of woodcarving tools that would better meet the needs of modern hobbyists and professional woodcarvers.

The starting point was that the design of traditional woodcarving tools had barely changed for a long time, while users' needs had. Flexcut therefore focused on innovative, user-friendly tools that enable woodcarvers to work comfortably and with control.

From a range of just four tool profiles, Flexcut grew into a manufacturer with more than 300 products for woodcarvers, artists and printmakers, among others. The products are manufactured in Erie, Pennsylvania, where Flexcut continues to invest in product development and modern manufacturing techniques.
