The **WOOX Solo Axe Mattock Brown** is a lightweight and tough-looking axe/pickaxe combination for hunters, campers and adventurers. Perfect for splitting wood and making kindling. The pickaxe with chisel tip is ideal for trimming bark, carving a point on a stick and digging holes or trenches in hard soil.

## WOOX Solo axe head

The axe head is made from 1045 steel. A tough type of carbon steel that is very resistant to the impacts that axes have to endure. In addition, it's easy to sharpen. The double grind of this axe is a nice feature. In addition to the regular cutting edge, the 'beard' has also been sharpened. This secondary edge is perfect for creating a path through thick bushes, by using the axe in a crosswise motion. It's comparable to how you would make your way through the jungle with a machete.

## WOOX Solo handle

The handle is made from Appalachian Hickory. A beautiful type of wood that is commonly used for axe handles, because it is very hard and still very flexible. The handle features a very nice and detailed, checkered pattern for optimal grip.

Très bonne "hache-pioche" bien solide, bien équilibré, avec un bon tranchant en sortie de boite !! 
Par contre le tranchant du bas et a mon avis inutile et dangereux même
Dommage que l'étui protège que la lame et pas la pioche, sinon très bonne qualité du cuir et bon maintien de la lame 

Plus esthétique que pratique elle est assez solide mais très moyenne sur la coupe de bois qui est pourtant ce pourquoi on l'achète. Je m'attendais sincèrement qu'avec un prix pareil elle n'est aucun défaut de ce point de vue là ce qui n'est pas le cas
