Ochsenkopf forestry axe 800 grams, OX 235 E-0802

I used this axe once for splitting kindling. I chopped six sticks and the handle snapped off inside the head. I've sent an email with pictures complaining, and I've yet hear a reply. My advise.. don't buy the Ochsenkopf forestry axe (1100 grams) unless you just want to look at it. The wood used in the handles is not what it's claimed to be...

A great little axe from Ochsenkopf, Germany's oldest axe manufacturer. The weight of the forged head is just right for splitting small logs and kindling, and for some harder tasks such as hedge laying. Second axe I have got from Ochsenkopf via Knives and Tools, an excellent company based in the Netherlands. Dankjulliewel Knives and Tools for sticking with your customers on the island that has gone very publicly, and very noisily bonkers!
