The **Condor Sigrun Knife CTK1823-5.5HC** is an outdoor knife with a Seax blade. We know this shape from the swords that were used by the Vikings. This is not a sword, but an outdoor knife with a blade length of 14.2 cm. It might not be a small knife, but it is definitely not a sword.

The blade is made from 1075 carbon steel. This is a strong steel that is easy to sharpen, and can also take quite a beating. 1075, however, is not completely stainless, so you need to clean it regularly and add a drop of oil once in a while. The handle is made from micarta, A fine material made from textile and synthetic resin. It comes with a solid kydex and leather sheath, with a belt loop.

Dit is toch echt wel een toppertje van Condor. Deze "mini" seax met mooie micarta scales ligt perfect in de hand (xl handschoen) en zit strak in de kydex schede. Full tang met pommel. In tegenstelling tot wat op de meeste websites wordt vermeld, weegt het mes exact 250 gram (ipv 350). De schede met lederen riemlus weegt 110 gram. Dit maakt het voor mij eigenlijk nog beter vanwege mobiliteit (backpack). Het is zoals K&T zelf ook aangeeft altijd even afwachten hoe de afwerking is bij Condor, mijn exemplaar is echter perfect symmetrisch. Het lemmet heeft een hele lichte curve en de tip lijkt onverwoestbaar. Hoewel het mes (niet geheel onterecht) een erg tactische uitstraling heeft lijkt het voor bushcraft taken ook bijzonder geschikt.  Ik moet wel zeggen dat ik een paar uurtjes achter de sharpmaker heb gestaan om een perfect snede te krijgen; op zich een goed teken want de hittebehandeling van het 1075 staal is dus prima.. Zo uit de "fabriek" kan je er hoogstens boter mee snijden. Al met al zeer tevreden met mijn aankoop en een van de gaafste messen uit de Condor line-up imo.
