The **KA-BAR 1493 TDI Investigator** is a knife that was designed for law enforcement and officers, as a last resort. It's a smaller version of the original 1480 TDI model and is compatible with the sheaths of the 1480, 1481 and the 1477. Besides professional use, this knife is also suitable for everyday use.




The blade of the KA-BAR 1493 TDI Investigator fixed knife measures 6,8 cm in length and 3 mm in thickness. The total length is 12,7 cm.



The blade features a blackwashed finish. For this finish, the blade is first finished with a coating, then tumbled. This makes the blade look like it has been around for a while, kind of like jeans. A big advantage of this is that traces of use will be much less noticeable.



The KA-BAR 1493 TDI Investigator fixed knife comes with a sheath made of kydex, a sturdy plastic that will keep the steel safe. However, it is important to keep a kydex sheath clean on the inside. Rinse it regularly with water. This will prevent dirt from remaining in the sheath, which can scratch the blade.
