Savotta Jääkäri backpacks have Finnish military roots: jääkäri is Finnish for "Jäger", the name for the light infantry of the Finnish army. They are made in Finland from 1000D Cordura and designed for demanding conditions. The series ranges from a compact daypack to a large backpack with an aluminium frame.

Savotta Jääkäri backpacks
The Savotta Jääkäri is a series of robust backpacks made from 1000D Cordura, a strong nylon fabric that is abrasion-resistant and water-repellent. Savotta has worked with the Finnish army for decades, and that experience is reflected in the simple, solid construction of these backpacks.
From daypacks to large packs
The smaller models are slim, with padded shoulder straps that leave your arms free, a side zipper for quick access to the bottom of the bag and elastic pockets for a water bottle. The largest model has an aluminium frame, a zipper at the bottom and a separate compartment for your sleeping bag. A separate aluminium frame is available for the medium size.
Expandable and adjustable
Jääkäri backpacks feature MOLLE webbing, allowing you to expand them with pouches. Use the straps on the outside to secure extra equipment. The quick-release buckles remain reliable down to -30 °C and under a load of 100 kg. Openings for a drinking tube or antenna complete the package, while a suitable rain cover keeps your pack dry.
