Features of the Leatherman Wave Alpha

The Leatherman Wave has been a household name among multi-tool enthusiasts since 1998, and the Wave Alpha is a thorough redesign of this icon. The frame is slightly longer and slimmer, making it more comfortable in the hand. The G10 handles are lightweight, incredibly strong, and feature a subtle topographic-line texture. Fully equipped, it weighs around 235 grams.

CPM MagnaCut steel blade

The blade is made from CPM MagnaCut steel, which offers excellent edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. It features a black DLC coating and a reverse tanto shape, while the enlarged thumb stud allows for easy one-handed opening.

Pliers, scissors and 16 tools

The pliers feature fine teeth and a narrow tip for precision work, while the wire cutters are replaceable and can be resharpened. The spring-action scissors are the largest Leatherman has ever fitted to a multi-tool. Other tools include a wood saw, double-sided file, bit driver, and bottle opener: 16 tools in total, all of which lock into place when opened.
