This Opinel No. 8 pocket knife with leather sheath from the Tradition series is 19.0 cm long and a weighs 42 grams. It is ideal for trekking, picnicking, barbecuing, hunting and fishing. A real EDC pocket knife that can be used for everything!

 ### Virobloc loc

 The knife has a Virobloc lock, also called a ring lock. With a Virobloc, the hinges of the blade are solidly blocked by the ring. This type of locking system can be operated with two hands, which means that you will be less likely to end up too close to the edge. The ring is often used to lock the knife when closed. And by using oil you also make sure that the ring moves easily.

 ### Type of steel

 The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 steel. The steel is extremely durable thanks to the addition of chrome. A small amount of carbon has been added to the steel as well. As such the knives are razor-sharp.

 ### Handle Material

 The handle is made from walnut wood. A stunning type of brown wood with beautiful dark brown lines. The wood looks stylish and chic.

 ### Accessories and maintenance

 To benefit from this Opinel-pocket knife longer maintenance is essential. A drop of Ballistol oil prevents the wood from drying out and it ensures that it will not lose its colour. Do not forget to oil the hinges as well. This keeps the ring running smoothly. With Opinel's sharpening stones, you can make the blade razor-sharp again. Klapt een beetje stroef open en dicht, maar verder een prima vlijmscherp mesje. Iets kleiner dan verwacht wel. Olijfhout is mooier.

Les teintes chaudes du noyer apportent vraiment un plus esthétique. Pour le reste, on est sur de l’opinel tout ce qu’il y a de plus classique, donc très bon.

Keurig mes,bekende classic maar met het handvat van notenhout net een tkkeltje mooier dan de "standaard"  vind ik,lekker scherp,niet alleen de geslepen kant maar ook bovenkant van het lemmet is behoorlijk scherp,dat is het enige wat ik op te merken heb,verder zou ik het een ander zeker wel aanraden als ze overwegen er een te willen,voor de prijs hief je het niet te laten
