The **DMT DiaSharp Bench Stone 6x2 D6E one-sided, extra fine** is a compact sharpening stone. The extra fine side polishes the edge, leaving you with razor-sharp results. Diamond-coated sharpening stones quickly remove material and, depending on the grain size sharpen your knives razor-sharp. The advantage of diamond sharpening stones is that they don't have to be lapped. With this DiaSharp stone the diamond particles are added to a 6 mm thick steel sheet. As such the flatness of this sharpening stone is guaranteed.


## DMT DiaSharp Bench Stone 6x2: grain size


The grain size of a diamond-coated stone and a water stone cannot easily be compared. This is because the construction and materials used are substantially different. With a water stone, the sharpening grains are incorporated in the stone. These grains are also released from the stone during use and become some kind of sharpening paste. With a diamond-coated stone, the diamonds are secured in the surface of the stone.


**Good to know**
The [DMT DuoBase met MagnaBase-adapter](/en/pt/-dmt-duobase-met-magnabase-adapter.htm) makes sharpening much more stable and easy. You can use the DMT sharpening stones with or without water. The advantage of sharpening with water is that the stone is lubricated and the sharpening residue is removed. Never use oil, always water. It is also good to know that a diamond-coated sharpening stone must be sharpened as well. A new sharpening stone removes quite a lot of material. Only after 5 to 10 knives does the stone have its final effect. The stone comes with a rubber base.

Bonne "pierre" diamant, attention à la sortie de boite il ya des "morceaux", n'y passer pas votre plus beau couteau en premier, mais "baptisez" la avec un couteau moins bon, ou avec une peirre a rectifier. 
Je l'ai acheté pour essayer d'affuter un couteau en SG2, qui mange mes pierre céramique sans grand effet. On voit de suite la différence, c'est efficace, meme sur des aciers durs. 
J'ai même pu reprendre mes poches en D2, ça devient presque facile. 
C'est un poil plus petit que mes pierres céramiques, mais ça suffit largement pour bien travailler dessus. 
Pour une cinquantaine d'€, c'est un bon investissement.

Tres compact pour un aigusisage ultra fin et non extra fin de 9 micron.
Uniquement pour les puriste, un grain fin de 20 micron pourrait suffir.

Plaque diamantée, fidèle à la réputation de DMT. Elle me sert pour faire la boue sur une pierre japonaise très dur. Cela répond bien à mes attente. Mn prochaine achat sera pour la taille au dessus.

Eerste ervaring met diamantsteen, slijpt zeer snel en consistent. Bevelset op scheermes is zo gedaan, en dan klaar voor de andere stenen.
