The **Zero Tolerance 990** is a cool EDC pocket knife, based on the legendary Zero Tolerance 990. He shares the design lines, although the difference is that this model is available to the general public.

Characterizing about this pocket knife is the 'floating' stop-pin on the spine of the handle. Like the tail of a scorpion the stop-pin hangt over the front of the handle. To make sure the frame is solid enough for the stop-pin, a part of the handle is made from stainless steel. The other part is made from stunning carbon fibre. The backspacer is made from plastic, enhanced with a Zero Tolerance logo. 

You quickly open the Zero Tolerance 0990 with the flipper or the large thumb hole. Because of the famous KVT ball bearings it feels as if it is walking on air. So smooth! When opened the blade is locked by a steel liner lock. As a result your fingers are safe. 

The blade is made from CPM 20CV-steel. An extremely wear resistant type of steel that retains its sharpness well. 20CV is also corrosion resistant. A great type of steel for EDC use. As such you rarely have to sharpen the knife.

When you introduce a knife that is a production version of such a legendary knife such as the 999 you are taking quite the risk. After all, a lot is expected from you. The 990 doesn't disappoint. It is an amazing pocket knife, especially considering the favourable price. A wonderful addition to your collection and a great knife to use.
