The Böker Kihon Bifold is a pocket knife designed by American knife maker Lucas Burnley. Kihon refers to simplicity, functionality and precision: the basic principles on which the design of the Böker Kihon Bifold is based. As in martial arts, where Kihon is about mastery of the essentials, this knife focuses on the core of what a good pocket knife should be: reliable, efficient and without unnecessary frills. Every detail is designed with a clear function, respecting both tradition and modern applications. It is a knife that goes back to basics, but in doing so excels in use.

Overall, this is a great knife at an excellent value. If you think you might want one of these, I would suggest buying it. The construction is sturdy and precise, the deployment is easy, and the lockup is tight. I also love how slim it is - it slips into a pocket very easily. I do have a few notes that are worth mentioning. The scales are very smooth so the knife can be a little slippery if your hands are very dry or oily. Also, the pocket clip does not have great retention, which is made worse by the smooth scales. I will probably switch to carrying this knife in the pocket with a small lanyard for this reason, in order to avoid losing it. Finally, my personal preference leans more towards mid-backlock,
