Whether you're sitting in the boot of your car or standing by the campfire, this french press makes it feel like you're at your favourite coffee shop, but in the middle of nature.

## Dura Sip ceramic inner layer

The French press features a 'Dura Sip' ceramic inner layer. This is a durable coating that preserves the flavour of your coffee and prevents staining. With this, Yeti combines the robustness of stainless steel with the luxurious feel and premium appearance of ceramic.

## Get the most out of a Yeti french press

Want to make the most of your Yeti-french press? Then go for a coarse coffee grind. This will prevent coffee grounds coming through the press. Something that can happen with filter or espresso grinds. Preferably use freshly ground beans for a full, round flavour. Don't have a coffee grinder? Many coffee shops are happy to grind the beans to the right grind for you.

The standard ratio for a French press is approximately 1:15 coffee to water (1 gram coffee to 15 gram/ml water). For a quantity of 200-250 ml of coffee, for example, this ratio applies:

  * Mild cup: 10-11 g coffee grind 
  * Medium cup: 12-15 g coffee grind
  * Strong cup: 16-18 g coffee grind

**Steps:**

  *   1. Bring water to the boil and then let it cool for a minute, or heat directly to about 90 °C.

        Preheat the French press by briefly rinsing it with hot water.
      </li>

        Add the desired amount of ground coffee to the empty jug.
      </li>
    </ol>

  * <ol start="4">

        Slowly pour the hot water over the coffee until you reach the desired amount.
      </li>
    </ol>

        Stir the coffee briefly with a wooden or plastic spoon for even extraction.
      </li>
    </ol>

  * <ol start="6">
      <li>
        Place the lid with the press up on the jug and let the coffee infuse for 4 minutes. Allow it to infuse longer or shorter to adjust the strength of the coffee.
      </li>
    </ol>

  * <ol start="7">
      <li>
        Then gently and evenly press down the press. Serve immediately for the best flavour!
      </li>
    </ol>

## Grounds Control filter against bitterness

As soon as you push the press down, the 'Grounds Control' filter stops the brewing process and the flavour remains perfectly balanced. The coffee does not become more bitter as with a standard French press. Thanks to the double-walled vacuum insulation and the lid, your coffee also stays hot for a long time. And as the filter keeps the coffee grounds neatly at the bottom, you simply use the jug as a handy serving jug afterwards.
