The **Condor Polar North Machete CTK2012-11.75HC** is a large machete, with an interesting design. While for most machetes the tip lies 'lower' than the handle, when you look at the knife from the side, the tip of this machete is perfectly in line with the handle.

As such the Polar North Machete is much more versatile than those other machetes. You can also use it for 'normal' cutting tasks. Add the fact that the handle is ergonomically shaped, and not just aimed at chopping tasks, and you will find out that the Polar North Machete is a versatile outdoor knife. More than just a machete.

The blade is made from 1075 carbon steel. This is a strong steel that is easy to sharpen, and can also take quite a beating. 1075, however, is not completely stainless. As such you need to clean it regularly and add a drop of oil once in a while. The handle is made from walnut wood. It comes in a solid leather sheath with a belt loop.
