The **Spyderco Webfoot Stone** is the evolved, coarser version of the Spyderco Golden Stone. This sharpening tool has a distinctive shape that resembles a 'duck foot'. Hence the name: Webfoot. A nice play on words. This design makes the stone unique and practical.

## Using the Spyderco Webfoot

When you place the stone vertically on a flat surface, the curve facing up, you are left with a 40-degree angle to sharpen knives. If you place the Webfoot on the included plastic base, you're left with a 30-degree angle. For sharper edges. When you put the stone on its side, you will have a 12.5-degree angle to sharpen scissors. The grooves in the Webfoot allow you to sharpen gouges or fishhooks. Because the outer sides of the Webfoot are rounded, you can also use it to sharpen serrated edges. You can also use it as a sharpening stone. The back of the Webfoot has a flat surface for this purpose.

## Material of the Spyderco Webfoot

The Webfoot is made of a single piece of carbon steel, the coating consists of CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride). This is a hard sharpening material that quickly removes material. The Webfoot does come with an instruction manual. It is important to apply as little pressure as possible. You need to let the CBN do all the work. More pressure will only wear out the sharpening material faster. You don't need water or oil to use this sharpener.

## Leather storage case

This stone comes with a leather storage case. This allows you to take the Webfoot with you, no matter where you go. Whether it's camping or something else, the clever design means you can sharpen anywhere with this tool! You only need a flat surface to place the stone on. The storage case also acts as a soft surface to work on.
