The **Rough Ryder Reserve Easy Open Tear Jerk** is a cool, traditional pocket knife. The knife has two blades, one with a wharncliffe shape and one with a spearpoint shape. Perfect for everyday use! Since neither of the blades feature a lock, this knife can legally be carried practically everywhere.

## D2 steel blade

This is a tough type of tool steel. It retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. Unfortunately, D2 steel is not entirely stainless, so never put the knife away wet, and make sure to add a bit of oil every once in a while. In return, you get an incredibly strong steel that stays sharp for a long time and can take a beating. As such, with a little bit of maintenance, you'll always have a perfectly sharp knife on hand.

## Micarta handle

The handle is made from micarta with nickel silver bolsters. Micarta is a composite material made from linen and synthetic resin pressed together under high pressure. A classic handle material which, according to legendary knife maker Bob Loveless, was also called 'the single best handle material in the world'.

Like Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Ryders, which these knives were named after, these knives are ready to be used. The prices are very appealing. However, this does mean that the finish might not always be perfect. Nothing major, and definitely in line with the prices. In the case of natural materials such as wood, bone and horn, it is possible to end up with tiny little cracks around the pins. It is simply a part of the deal in this price range.
