The **Naniwa Pocket Pro Stone 600 grit** is a small sharpening stone for sharpening knives that have lost their sharpness. Have you had your knife for a while and it's no longer as sharp as it used to be? Then this sharpening stone is ideal. Not too coarse, but coarse enough to quickly remove material and restore the edge of your knife.

To sharpen a damaged or very blunt knife, we recommend a coarser sharpening stone. ## Difference between Naniwa Pocket Pro vs Naniwa Professional

Naniwa Pocket Pro sharpening stones are the same as the Naniwa Professional sharpening stones. The only difference is the size and use. These small sharpening stones are suitable for small kitchen knives, outdoor knives or pocket knives. Thanks to the small size, Naniwa Pocket Pro sharpening stones are lighter than the Naniwa Professional sharpening stones. This means you van easily take them with you in your backpack. As such you can also sharpen your knives on the road!

## How to use Naniwa Pocket Pro Stones

The Naniwa Pocket Pro Stones are made on the basis of bound magnesium. This ensures great sharpening properties and little wear and tear. They are therefore also suitable for sharpening knives with a high hardness. 

The magnesium makes the sharpening stones very hard, but Naniwa points out that it also makes the sharpening stones more sensitive to prolonged exposure to water. But don't worry! As long as you don't leave the stones in a bowl of water, there's nothing to worry about. They absorb little water, so immersion in water is not necessary. Pour a little water on the surface of the sharpening stone and you can start sharpening straight away.

After use, it's important to dry the sharpening stones thoroughly and then allow them to dry fully at room temperature. Don't place the sharpening stone on a heater or in the sun! This can cause the sharpening stone to crack. Once dried store them in a dry, dark place.
