The **MKM Root RT-GCT Titanium Natural Canvas Micarta** is a modern slipjoint. Designed by Jens Anso. One of the most famous knife designers today. Characterizing for his designs are the organic shapes and sleek lines. Combined this results into a tasteful and stylish design. The MKM Root is no exception.



The blade is enhanced with three cut-outs that offer you enough traction to make sure you easily open the knife with two hands. The blade is made from Böhler M390 steel. This is a type of steel that retains its sharpness well and is incredibly wear-resistant. It is also very stainless. One of the most popular choices at the moment. When opened a slipjoint will neatly keep it open. And yet you can still easily close it: it merely offers resistance, it doesn't lock the blade. As such you can legally carry it with you almost anywhere. The sheepsfoot-style blade is thin and razor-sharp. This type of shape is mostly suited for daily tasks such as opening boxes and envelopes.



This version of the root is enhanced with a sleek titanium handle with a natural canvas micarta inlay. Tough, milled lines and a stunning, blue anodized ring around the pivot complement the handle. Like many gentleman's knives the Root is not enhanced with a pocket clip. Because of a couple ingenious details you won't miss it. At the end of the handle, milled in the backspacer, you will find a lanyard hole. You use this hole to attach a lanyard. With it you can easily pull it from your pocket. And it adds a little flair! Or you use the leather sheath with belt loop. This belt loop has a magnetic closure. Would you rather not carry it on your belt? You can also carry the sheath as a 'slip sheath' in your pocket. Because of the supple leather this is very comfortable.

MKM is a cooperation between Viper, LionSteel, Fox and Mercury. Four masters working in the Italian knife industry. It is no coincidence that they all come from the city: Maniago, northern Italy. The knife capital of the south of Europe. MKM stands for Maniago Knife Makers.
