The **Medford Slim Midi** is a cool and robust pocket knife with a look and feel completely its own. In terms of blade thickness and handle thickness, this Slim version has lost quite a lot of weight compared to the normal Midi Marauder. What's striking is the thickness of the blade in combination with the thickness of the scales. They have the same thickness. This version features the elegant Acid Etched Flame titanium handle. As such, the Slim Midi looks incredibly strong and cool.




The Medford Slim Midi 25-SM-02, S45VN Tumbled Tanto Blade, Acid Etched Flamed Titanium Handle, pocket knife is a hefty EDC knife in the colour blue, purple. With its blade length of 9,2 cm, it's especially suited for demanding cutting tasks. This is not a compact knife! When closed, it measures 10,8 cm in length and it weighs 120 g.



## Blade made of CPM S45VN steel
The blade of this Medford Slim Midi is made of CPM S45VN steel. This is a premium type of stainless steel made by Crucible Industries in the US. S45VN retains its sharpness well, is pretty tough and very corrosion resistant. CPM S45VN  was developed as a successor to CPM S35VN. S45VN retains its sharpness even better than S35VN, and is even more resistant to corrosion too.



The ‘stonewash’ process was chosen for the finish of this blade. The stonewash process involves the blade being placed inside a drum with ceramic stones, or media, and then vibrated or tumbled for several hours. The result is a finish that looks precisely polished or roughened depending on the version. The advantage of stonewashing, however, is that signs of use are much less noticeable. That makes it a popular choice for knives that see a lot of use.



## Titanium handle

The handle of this Medford Slim Midi is made of titanium and measures 10,8 cm in length. Titanium is a fantastic high-tech material. It is an excellent choice for the handle of a pocket knife for several reasons: titanium is very strong, lightweight and it is flexible. Moreover, titanium can be machined very precisely and a wide range of different finishes are possible. To be exact, the handle is made of a titanium alloy. Small amounts of aluminium and vanadium are added to pure titanium to make it even more suitable for use as a pocket knife handle.
