This **Helle Sharpening Stone L** is a combination sharpening stone in a beautiful and safe leather storage case. This means you can safely carry the stone in your backpack without having to worry about damaging the sharpening stone.

## Helle sharpening stone grit size

The red side of this sharpening stone has a grit size of F360. This is the European indicator for grit size. It corresponds to a Japanese sharpening stone with a J400 grit size. This side is therefore suitable for sharpening knives that have become very blunt. The white side has a grit size of F1000. This corresponds to a Japanese sharpening stone with a J2800 grit size. This makes this side ideal for sharpening (and keeping) your knife razor-sharp.

## How to use the Helle sharpening stone

Submerge the sharpening stone in water for a few minutes and then keep the stone thoroughly wet during sharpening. This enhances the sharpening result and extends the life of the sharpening stone. Mijn eerste echte slijpsteen. De lederen hoes is echt prachtig en de steen doet wat ie moet doen. Grof grit neemt veel materiaal weg, 1000 grit maakt mooi egaal. Wel lastig om de steen stil te laten liggen omdat die natuurlijk ook wel ietwat glad is.
