Full description
The Gränsfors Bruk 460 cleaving wedge is turned with a grooved surface for extra grip, with bevelled corners and a hardened tip. A splitting wedge is used to split very large, gnarled or cross-grained tree trunks. Sometimes even several wedges are needed to split a log. You can use this wedge in combination with a splitting maul, which is suitable for steel-to-steel contact.

Expectations
Very well designed splitting wedge . The slight twist it has pushes the wood apart very successfully . It is expensive , but if it makes a very arduous task easier , then it is worth it .
