This **Fox Knives Yankee Axe** is a robust axe that is very suitable to take with you on camping and bushcraft adventures. It is a classic axe with a fairly heavy head. That means it delivers a lot of striking power. This axe is less suitable for smaller tasks, because you can't easily get your hand close to the cutting edge. The knife comes with a sheath made from Italian leather. This sheath can also be hung from your belt or backpack.

## The axe head of the Fox Yankee Axe

The head is made from 1045 carbon steel with a hardness of 55-57 HRC. It's a nice balance between durability and sharpness retention. The head has a classic, simple shape with a fairly wide cutting surface. So it has a lot of power.

## The handle of the Fox Yankee Axe

The handle is American hickory. This is coated with a layer of lacquer that gives the handle some texture. It provides plenty of grip, even in wet conditions.
