The name, Jarl, is a reference to Birger Jarl, who was supposedly the founder of Stockholm. The low-hanging leather sheath is open, making it easy to access your knife at all times.

Ik heb voor dit mes gekozen omdat ik naast de A1 Pro voor het grove werk ook een handzamer mes wilde hebben.

Ik heb goede ervaringen met 3G staal en de SK1 Jarl bevestigd dit ook weer. Het is lastig om het scheermes scherp te krijgen maar eenmaal daar behoudt de snede zijn scherpte erg goed.

De rug van het mes heeft een scherp randje. Geen idee of dit met opzet is gedaan maar als ik het mes over een ferrod staal trek dan heb ik een ware waterval aan vonken. Erg handig om snel een kampvuurtje aan te leggen.

De schede is in het begin wat stug maar wordt vanzelf soepel bij gebruik.

Het mooie van dit mes is dat hij erg functioneel is. 
Dikke takken batonnen is geen probleem. 
Blinkt uit in het maken van feathersticks. 
En fijn houtsnijwerk gaat ook erg goed af.
Een paar halen over een strop is weer genoeg om je ermee te kunnen scheren.

Prachtig mes! sublieme kwaliteit. Hoog afwerkingsniveau.
Komt letterlijk "razor sharp" uit de verpakking.
Het enige minpuntje is de wat te strakke foedraal. Het zwarte leer geeft hierdoor wat af op het handvat.
