The **Spyderco Native Chief C244GP** is a robust pocket knife which might look familiar. This knife is namely a longer version of the famous Native 5. At the request of fans Spyderco took the Native design and stretched it out about a third. The result is a substantial knife, made to be used.

 As mentioned before the Native Chief is no small pocket knife. This knife is even 2 cm longer than the Paramilitary 2. Despite its length the Native Chief can also easily be carried. The design is namely very slim and won't take up much room in your pocket. Spyderco selected G10 without steel liners for the scales. As such the knife is not top-heavy as the result of its length. With a weight of 110 grams it is even slightly lighter than the Paramilitary 2.

 The blade is made from CPM S30V-steel. A stainless type of steel that is very popular amongst enthusiasts. The blade has a very thin grind, making it a real slicer. Perfect for daily tasks. You open the Native Chief with the familiar thumb hole after which a solid backlock locks the blade when opened.

Leider hat es keine Liner unter den G10 Griffschalen...

Topmes voor grote handen!

Ondanks de grootte is het gewicht, breedte en hoogte dusdanig dat het een prima edc is ondanks de lengte. 
Scheermesscherp uit de doos

Er zijn wat mij betreft wel een paar verbeterpunten:
Het lemmet  is vrij smal en de punt erg spits in verhouding tot hoogte/breedte vh lemmet……is niet voor niets dat er op internet wordt getwijfeld over de robuustheid van het mes
De balans ligt (zoals bij veel Spyderco’s) ongeveer een vingerbreedte achter de positie vd wijsvinger. Om de eoa rede vind ik dat bij dit mes niet prettig en dat heeft waarschijnlijk met de lengte te maken. 
Geef dit mes liners (extra stijfheid wat bij de lengte past) en een breder lemmet dan kan bovenstaande opgelost worden. 
Tot slot zou de jimping dichter op de duim mogen zitten. 

Mes dat ik kocht ging na een paar dagen slecht open/dicht. Waarschijnlijk een braam op de backlocker, goed opgelost door KaTo

Chiudibile bellissimo! Impugnatura comoda e lama davvero ottima x i più svariati lavori, basta stare un poco attenti alla punta che è abbastanza sottile. Il peso è contenuto date le dimensioni e da chiuso in tasca occupa poco spazio. Consigliato!
