This breakfast knife by Robert Herder is a characteristic German breakfast knife in the so-called 'Buckels' shape. The very thin blade is made of carbon steel. This is traditionally grinded very thin (' Dünnschliff '). The result is a very sharp knife, easy to maintain. The down side to carbon steel is that it is more sensitive to rust than stainless steel, which means that the knife should be well maintained. Suitable for cutting e.g. bread, cheese, salami and for spreading butter on bread.

Prachtige messen en zeer scherp. Maar dat Carbonstaal vlekt echt wel heel erg. Volgende keer toch echt de RvS uitvoering

Ich bin seit jahren großer Fan der rostfreien Buchholzmesser von Windmühle. Ich werbe für diese Messer, ich verschenke sie ichnutze sie.
Nun habe ich Kirschholzmesser gekauft und bin total enttäuscht.
Sie laufen bei der ersten Berührung mit Butter sofort grau oder schwarz an und lassen sich nicht mehr säubern.
Was tun?

Ich habe die Frühstücksmesser bei einem Angelurlaub in Norwegen kennengelernt. Ich bin begeistert von diesen Messern.Endlich habe ich dieeee Messer gefunden.
