The **QSP Knife Parrot** is a compact and great pocket knife, for a great price. A real all-rounder great for many DIY tasks. Put it in your pocket during your chores and you will notice how often it can come in handy. You quickly open it with one hand with the double thumb stud and because of the linerlock your fingers will be safe.

The blade is made from D2. This is a tough type of tool steel that retains its sharpness well. You can also easily sharpen D2. Do pay attention around moisture and acids: D2 is not as stainless as certain corrosion resistant types of steel. So make sure you clean and dry it after use.

The handle of this knife is made from micarta. This is a composite material made from canvas and synthetic resin. Rock-solid, lightweight and it feels great in hand.

Très déçu par ce couteau, non pas par la lame elle-même que je trouve très bonne pour le prix (forme, émouture, D2), mais par le manche qui est d’une construction bien trop légère. La structure intérieur métal est très fine et se tord vite, et les roulements n’ont tenu que quelques jours, ne supportent pas la saleté !
Je trouve qu’il y a une disproportion entre la lame qui est très solide et le manche trop fragile. Ce n’est pas un couteau de travail, il peut juste servir à dépanner, et encore, on ne peut pas trop compter dessus...
La prochaine fois je mettrai 20€ de plus.
J’ai l’habitude de m’acheter des couteaux dans cette catégorie de prix, ils me durent généralement 2 ans. Là ça n’aura pas durer 3 mois !

Laat ik beginnen met het rode handvat, ik las een review van iemand die zei dat de kleur hem tegenviel omdat hij vaal en bleek is, vaal is het wel te noemen maar bleek vind ik wel mee vallen. Het is inderdaad een andere kleur dan op de foto lijkt. Ik heb hem even nat gemaakt om te kijken of de kleur dan meer op de foto lijkt, een beetje maar nog steeds wel valer dan de foto. Wat me wel tegenvalt is dat het materiaal best glad wordt als het nat is, terwijl het als het droog is, fijn aanvoelt, veel grip, vergelijkbaar met hout. 

Het mechaniek gaat heel vloeiend, ik ben heel tevreden hoe hij voelt met openklappen. Toen ik m net had zat hij wel best strak dicht en was het even uitvogelen hoe ik hem met 1 hand kon openkrijgen. Maar na even proberen had ik het door 'je duim tusen het knopje en het handvat wurmen' dan schiet hij in één keer open. Voelt heel goed en niks wiebelt, ik was meteen de hele dag ermee aan het spelen, open dicht open dicht. Daardoor is ie wat ingewijd en gaat hij makkelijker open, maar hij zit nogsteeds prima dicht en niks wiebelt! Dus vrees niet als hij aan het begin wat strak dicht zit, dat wordt beter. 

Hij werd echt vlijmscherp geleverd! Heel tevreden mee, hij was nog scherper dan ik mijn messen slijp, ik kon zonder scheerzeep mijn wang ermee scheren! Petje af.

Kwa afwerking ook niks op aan te merken. Alles ziet er kwalitatief uit. En alles zot vast met torx, mocht je hem uit elkaar willen halen.

Clipje is tip up carry only, dat wil zeggen dat hij met de punt omhoog in je broekzak zit, dit is de snelste positie om hem met 1 hand te gebruiken dus helemaal perfect. Je kan m er ook af schroeven of als je linkshandig bent kan je hem ook aan de andere kant doen volgensmij.

Ik kocht hem voor 22 euro, erg betaalbaar.
Dan durf ik hem tenminste mee te nemen zonder al te bang te zijn om hem kwijt te raken.

Het is gewoon een no-nonsense deal voor no-nonsense mensen. Ik ben zeker een zakmesfanaat. Ik heb alleen geen verzameling ofzo. Ik heb een victorinox camper en een victorinox vouwbaar groentemes en nu ook deze. Meer heb ík ook niet nodig. Absurd ook om te bedenken dat ik dan voor 60 euro klaar ben he :p (inflatie niet meegerekend) 

Kortom, aanrader!


Scherpste mes ooit gehad. Het openen gaat supersoepel (vanwege de kogellagers) waardoor het lijkt alsof er een veermechanisme in zit.
Het micarta handvat geeft helaas niet heel veel grip. Mes zit verder erg goed in elkaar zonder speling.
Voor dit geld kan je weinig betere zakmessen krijgen!
