The **Leatherman Free T4** is a modern and versatile multi-tool and, in terms of function, very similar to the famous Swiss pocket knives. For the Free collection Leatherman decided to return to the drawing board. They started designing a revolutionary multi-tool. A tool that enables you to be free to do whatever you want. All tools can be opened from the outside. With a little practice, this is also easy with one hand. All tools are enhanced with a lock. A version of a backlock. You can also control it with one hand. Ik had de Leatherman free T4 besteld omdat ik op internet veel goede verhalen had gelezen. Het is een mooi mes/ multitool. Alleen voor de prijs had ik er meer van verwacht. Het mes was kleiner dan ik dacht, verder is het een prima tool alleen de afwerking is minder. Er zat bijvoorbeeld op de pincet nog een grof stuk soldeersel. 

très bon produit, robuste et bien fini, mais comme d'habitude avec ce genre de marque américaine le prix et beaucoup trop élevé par rapport à la concurrence. 

Couteau suisse made in USA. 
Tout s'ouvre facilement à une main et se referme aussi facilement. C'est très bien pensé.
Seul bémol, la qualité de coupe des ciseaux, justement par rapport à un Vx, mais ça coupera très bien du papier.

Precies wat je van Leatherman verwacht. 
Niet zo slank als een Zwitser. Wel degelijk en stoer uiterlijk. En wat voor mij belangrijk was: geen gepriegel met je nagels. Maar alles met de duim te openen. En ook: handige pocketclip. Zo heb je eigenlijk niet in de gaten dat je m bij je hebt. Niet de goedkoopste, wel de degelijkste. 

Great idea (one hand operation EDC multi tool) but poor design/execution. The one hand operation mechanism is designed very poorly making it quite difficult to unfold the tools with one hand. 

What makes it even worst is that the most important tool, the knife, is the most difficult to unfold. I found it very hard to use my thumb to get the knife over the "unfolding tipping point". 

I already tried lubricating the swivel joints and loosen the screws a bit but unfortunately to no avail. Furthermore, the multi tool is a little bit too bulky and hefty for my liking but that I can live with.
