The blade of this Kizer Militaw is made of CPM S45VN steel. This is a premium type of stainless steel made by Crucible Industries in the US. S45VN retains its sharpness well, is pretty tough and very corrosion resistant. CPM S45VN  was developed as a successor to CPM S35VN. S45VN retains its sharpness even better than S35VN, and is even more resistant to corrosion too.



The blade features a blackwashed finish. For this finish, the blade is first finished with a coating, then tumbled. This makes the blade look like it has been around for a while, kind of like jeans. A big advantage of this is that traces of use will be much less noticeable.
