The **CRKT Provoke Compact 4045** is a revolutionary karambit pocket knife, designed by Joe Caswell. With the Provoke, Caswell changed the way we think about pocket knives. The *Kinematic* mechanism ensures that you can open the karambit quickly. It's hard to get a good sense of how it works by simply looking at photos, so please check out the product video as well!

This is the Provoke Compact: just a little smaller than the normal Provoke. However, the materials and function are identical.

With your index finger through the ring, you push the blade into place with your thumb. When opened the blade is kept in place by a solid lock. Because you also wrap your hand around the handle, you can make extra sure the knife stays open. You can easily unlock the blade with a somewhat hidden detent. It might take some getting used to at first, but once you've got the hand of the Provoke, opening and closing it is a piece of cake.

Aside from the interesting mechanism, the Provoke is simply a great pocket knife. The blade is made from D2 steel and sharpened on one side. It's nice and thin behind the edge, so it cuts really well. The handle is made from solid 6061 T6 aluminium. This sturdy material is often used in the aerospace industry.

You can discreetly carry the CRKT Provoke in your pocket. The pocket clip is distinctive because you push it down on one side to make sure the end stands up. This means you can easily slip it into your pocket without it ever getting in the way.

Ich habe mir das Messer nur wegen seiner besonderen Mechanik gekauft und bin sehr zufrieden. Da es überwiegend in der Vitrine liegen wird, kann ich zur Funktionalität nichts sagen. Zum Pappkartons öffnen ist es mir schade, und zum mit-mir-rumtragen zu verboten.

Ik vind het echt een heel tof mes. Het openen van het mes middels de Kinematic opening is razendsnel en en hierdoor is het ook echt weer eens wat anders. Ook het materiaal is zeer degelijk.
