The **Cold Steel Rajah III** is a pocket knife with a blade with the convex shape of a Kukri. The blade looks very cool thanks to the stonewashed finish. This knife radiates decency. You can easily open the 3.6 mm blade with one hand with the thumb plate and when opened it is locked by the solid Tri-Ad-Lock. The Grivory handle offers enough grip. In short, a knife made for the more demanding tasks while it is smaller and more manageable than the Rajah II. 


This version of the Cold Steel Rajah is enhanced with a AUS10A steel blade, while its predecessor has a CTS-BD1 blade. The main differences between both types of steel can be found in sharpness retention. AUS10 will retain its sharpness longer than CTS-BD1, even though you do have to compromise in terms of corrosion resistance.

De Rajah is in principe een fijn mes. Goed staal, vriendelijke prijs, en de bekende tri-ad lock. Ware het niet dat mijn exemplaat geleverd met verticale bladeplayen en een zwakke tri-ad. Iets wat absoluut niet de bedoeling mag zijn. Deze is ondertussen retour en dat heeft KATO netjes opgelost.

Great large folder good for just about anything you may want a large knife for.would recommend a belt sheath as it takes up alot of room in the pocket.

Das etwas andere Messer zum Schnitzen und Schneiden. Das Messer liegt gut in der Hand, ich würde mir allerdings gummierte Griffe wünschen. Wer nicht selbst sein Messer schleifen kann sollte bei der Klingenform dann besser nicht zugreifen. Der Stahl ist ausreichend gut, macht einen guten Job und ist einfach zu schleifen. Hackarbeiten würde ich damit nicht machen. Ich habe auch noch den großen Bruder, das Rajah II, allerdings habe ich da den Anschliff auf Konvex geändert weil er bei sehr harten Materialien zu ausbrüchen neigt. Ansonsten kann ich das Messer empfehlen, besonders als Kombi mit dem großen Rajah II.
