The **Civivi Pintail C2020** is a cool and solid EDC pocket knife. The handle feels amazing in hand and because of the finger groove just behind the edge you have a lot of control over the blade. You quickly open this knife with the thumb stud of flipper. When opened the blade is locked by a solid liner lock. As such your fingers are safe when you use this knife.



## Cuibourtia handle


The handle is comprised of steel liners with scales made from Cuibourtia wood. It is the Latin name for Bubinga. A fancy type of wood that looks amazing.


## Damascus steel blade


The blade is made from damascus steel. This is a type of steel comprised of two different types of steel that were forged and folded together. By folding it in different ways you end up with a stunning pattern. Originally damascus steel was forged to improve the quality of the steel. Today it simply looks cool.

La navaja está bien, la madera algo más oscura que lo que se puede apreciar en las fotos, corta genial, y es muy bonita pero creo que los acabados no están al nivel del precio que pagas por ella, no sé si es el caso de mi unidad pero hay algunas cosas que podrían estar mejor.

Deze Civivi is een plaatje om te zien en klein genoeg om in je broekzak mee te nemen. Het Damascus (geen Damasteel, maar prima werkbaar voor deze prijs) blad en de greep in houtkleur maken een prachtige combi. Je opent hem met je duim of de flipper. De flipper werkt het fijnste. De backflip is voor mij moeilijk, omdat het mes zo klein is dat het geen grip kreeg in mijn handpalm. Maar dit verschilt per persoon natuurlijk. Het linerlock moet bij mijn versie goed ingedrukt worden wil het blad compleet sluiten. Wanneer je hem niet helemaal naar links drukt, stop het blad op een derde van de zwaai en blijft hangen op een uitstulping. Wellicht moet het nog wat inslijten of is het een feature die mij niet bekend is, zoals een beveiliging voor je vingers. Daarover hoef je je geen zorgen te maken, want de achterkant van de flipper komt tegen je duim aan bij het sluiten. Zo snijd je niet per ongeluk in je vinger bij het sluiten. Ik persoonlijk heb de clip verwijderd, omdat het mes zo klein is, dat het los in mijn broekzak past. Wil je hem voor de looks? Dan is dit echt een aanrader en koppendraaier.
