The **Civivi Baby Banter 2** is a compact and practical EDC knife, designed by Ben Petersen. In the pocket knife community Ben is also known as [@ben_banters](https://www.instagram.com/ben_banters/) with his saying *What iiiiisss up guys!* 

He envisioned this large version of the Banter as a pocket knife that didn't need to look like any other pocket knife. People asked him why he didn't release that unique knife. The cooperation with WE Knife was sought after, and now it is here: the WE Knife Banter. By popular demand, there is now also a smaller version of the Banter: the Civivi Baby Banter. This is the Baby Banter 2 which locks with a crossbar lock, making it accessible to left-handed people and right-handed people.



The Civivi Baby Banter 2 C23074-2 Black Stonewashed Purple Aluminum Crossbar Lock, pocket knife is a nice EDC knife in the colour purple. With its blade length of 6 cm, it's a compact pocket knife that effortlessly fits inside your pocket. You can also notice this in the weight of 65 g. You'll barely notice you're carrying it with you!



Opening the Civivi Baby Banter 2 C23074-2 Black Stonewashed Purple Aluminum Crossbar Lock, pocket knife with one hand is very easy thanks to the thumb stud. Once opened, the sturdy Crossbar Lock ensures that the blade is locked and won't accidentally close during use. A cool feature of this lock is that it can be easily used by both left-handed and right-handed users.

The name 'Crossbar Lock' is a generic term for locks of this type. The foundation of this mechanism was the Axis Lock as developed by Benchmade. Today, several manufacturers happily make use of the same mechanism, though sometimes under different names.



## Blade made of Nitro-V steel
The blade of this Civivi is made of German Nitro-V steel. This is a stainless steel that is easy to sharpen. Nitro-V is also quite tough and retains its sharpness well.



The blade features a blackwashed finish. For this finish, the blade is first finished with a coating, then tumbled. This makes the blade look like it has been around for a while, kind of like jeans. A big advantage of this is that traces of use will be much less noticeable.



## Aluminium handle
The handle of the Civivi Baby Banter is made from aluminium. The handle measures 8,1 cm in length. Aluminium is pleasantly lightweight and easy for the manufacturer to work with. As a result, it is a very popular choice for handles. Aluminium comes in many different grades or alloys. Most manufacturers opt for one of the more durable types of aluminium for knife handles, often using the same quality as the type used for aircraft construction.

This Civivi was designed by Ben Petersen. In the pocket knife community, Ben is better known as @ben_banters with his *What iiiisss up guys!* catchphrase. From Utah, USA, Petersen delights the knife world with his interesting designs and all things pocket knife.

Très joli petit couteau, un look vraiment sympa en alu purple et l'âme black stonewashed ! Assemblages parfaits, matériaux de qualité, le tranchant en nitro V est excellent en sortie de boite, bonne prise en main malgré sa taille réduite (j'ai des mains plutôt petites). Encombrement et poids très réduits, on l'emmène partout. 

Un banger ce pliant ! Je l’ai pris pour offrir mais je pense que je vais en faire une collection tellement il est parfait.
C’est un petit couteau certe mais wahou les finition, les matériaux sont exceptionnels. Et la couleur est splendide !!! 😍😍

Nice EDC knife, bought the blue and satin as well and changed them out so I have one black and blue, and one satin and purple. To bad those combos don’t exist as standard.
