The **BeaverCraft Basic S09 Book wood carving set** is a set of wood carving knives with each their own function. The large knife is great when removing large pieces of wood. The two small knives are suited for the final finish or when applying details. The spoon knife has a diameter of 25 mm and is suited for hollowing out wood for a kuksa, bowl or spoon. This set also contains a strop and stropping compound to make sure the knives stay razor-sharp. 

## BeaverCraft Book gift set

The entire set is stored in a wooden storage box/gift box shaped like a book. The book is 26 cm high, 20 cm wide and 6 cm thick. This original gift is something else than just a book!

## About the wood carving knives

The blade is made from fine carbon steel. Easy to sharpen and very tough. As such it will bend sooner than it will break, in case something goes wrong. Better safe than sorry! Keep in mind that carbon steel is not stainless. So don't store it while still wet. A couple drops of oil once in a while will make sure the blade stays in great shape.

## Beavercraft S09 handle

The handle is made from ash wood. A strong type of wood that is also used for axe handles. The ergonomics of all BeaverCraft tools is great. But the good thing about wood carving knives is that you can always modify the handle yourself. To make it your own!

We measure the sharpening angle ourselves. This value is the angle per side.  So 20º means that the total angle of the edge is 40º. Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
