This **Zippo lighter** is a remake of the first solid copper Zippo from 1969. The copper case is hand-made and will develop a unique patina over time. The insert is made from black coated steel.

Zippo lighters have been around ever since 1932. The American company has almost become a synonym for this type of lighter. Everyone has seen them! The function of the wick that hangs in a fuel tank is characteristic of this lighter. By rotating the wheel alongside a flint the sparks will hit the wick. This will cause it to ignite. A wind catcher is fitted around the wick. As such, the Zippo has been quite wind-resistant for dozens of years, even before storm lighters emerged.

Zippo's have always been a part of life. Amongst lighter enthusiasts, survival enthusiasts and collectors. This is because the simple mechanism of a Zippo is much easier to troubleshoot in the field than a modern lighter.

## Using your Zippo for the first time

A zippo lighter is empty upon delivery. As such, you need to fill it before use. The best thing for this is the original Zippo lighter fluid, but white gas (Coleman fuel) is also an option. Unfortunately, we are not able to ship lighter fluid due to safety reasons.

J'adore ce zippo full cuivre. EVIDEMMENT il se patine très rapidement et complète parfaitement mes EDC. 
Les premiers jours il marquera les traces de doigts mais la patine deviendra uniforme rapidement avec des nuances de marrons, cuivre, reflets bleui. 


Het leuke van een Zippo is de eenvoud, watten die je doordrenkt met benzine daardoor heen een lontje en een vonkje met een vuursteen (Flintstone). En voor de modernisten zijn er ook inzetten verkrijgbaar met gas en zelfs met een batterij en oplaadbaar via USB meer richting Jetsons.

Le Briquet s'oxyde très rapidement, il est rapidement couvert de trace de doigts et perd son aspect cuivre poli.
Je déconseille.
