The **TOPS US Combat Knife** is a tough and decent knife. It was designed by Laci Szabo to honour the U.S. Marine Corps. Such an elite-unit requires an exclusive knife, exactly what this US Combat Knife is. In terms of design it might remind you of a bayonet. The large 'wings' that protect your fingers, the clippoint blade with its serrations: typical characteristics of an army knife.

 The 1095 carbon steel blade is enhanced with a black Traction Coating to prevent rust and reflections. The false edge on the spine of the tip, also called *swedge*, improves the penetrating qualities of this knife. A massive part of the edge is plain- Just before the handle there is a part that is partially serrated. With it you can easily cut through other high-fire materials.

 The micarta scales are enhanced with a subtle red liner. Micarta is great because it offers you enough grip with both dry and wet hands and when wearing gloves. The grooves also contribute to this: this knife is rock-solid in your hand. In the middle of the handle you will find a small cut-out on both sides. It has two purposes. You could, for instance, use it to guide the rotating part of a firebow. In addition, it is some sort of control point where you change your grip during use. When you switch from an underhand to an up-hand grip the cut-out will function as a sort of pivot for your thumb. A characteristic that comes from the world of martial arts.

 You can carry the TOPS US Combat Knife in the included MOLLE compatible belt sheath. It has been enhanced with an additional compartment you can use to store your survival kit, sharpening stone or firesteel. With the additional lanyard eyes and the roll of paracord you can easily attach the bottom of the sheath to your leg. As such you will never wave it around.

 The TOPS US Combat Knife is a massive knife. The perfect addition to any collection, even though it also won't shy away from heavy use.
