Another major advantage of the SkyHawk 10x42 binoculars is the Steiner High Contrast optics. This unique optics system, in combination with the Fast Close Focus, provides you with a sharp detail reproduction from 2 metres. Optimal contrast is achieved by using top-quality types of glass, in combination with a Dynamic Contrast Coating, which leaves you with bright colours and a high contrast with perfect depth perception. The three-dimensional brilliance is reflected in the impressive plastic image with a wonderful depth of field.

Of course the Skyhawk 4.0 10x42 is also enhanced with the famous Steiner features. Impact-resistant Makrolon is used for a solid housing and the robust construction makes the Skyhawk models impact-resistant, versatile and lightweight. The nitrogen-filled housing prevents condensation and a temperature tolerance ranging from -20° C to 70° C means you will always have a clear image, even in tropical or Arctic climates. The pair is also waterproof up to 3 metres. Also useful are the ergonomic eye cups which are very comfortable to look through.
