The **Spyderco Byrd Cara Cara 2** is a decent pocket knife for daily use. The Cara Cara 2 is one of the larger knives within the Byrd range and very comparable to the Spyderco Endura 4. Perfect for anyone who prefers a larger pocket knife.

 The 8Cr13MoV steel blade can easily be opened with one hand with the comet-shaped hole, and is locked by a decent and reliable back lock. This version of the Cara Cara 2 is enhanced with a *Wave Emerson Opener*. With this hook on top of the blade the blade opens automatically when you pull it from your pocket. The hook will get caught behind the edge of your pocket. As such you pull open the knife to make sure it is immediately ready to be used. As additional safety precaution this back-lock is enhanced with a Boye-dent; a crescent-shaped cut-out that ensures that the knife doesn't close during the more demanding tasks.

 This knife weighs next to nothing because of its FRN scales. This is a light and strong material that offers you enough grip. The compact dimensions make this pocket knife look friendly and graceful. The knife is enhanced with a decent pocket clip that can be attached to the handle in four different ways. As such the user can decide to go with 'tip-up' or 'tip-down' carry and left and right-handed use.

 The Byrd collection is a cheaper alternative for the well-known, but often more expensive Spyderco knives. Byrd knives are made in China. Of course they adhere to Spyderco's strict quality demands, and are made from great materials.
