The **Schrade Steel Driver Fixed Blade 1136030** is a solid survival knife, for a great price. The combination of black G10 and a black blade made it look very tough. The texture on the G10 provides a rock-solid grip. Even in wet conditions, you don't have to be afraid to slide off the handle.

The blade is made from AUS8 steel. This is a stainless type of steel that is easy to sharpen. The hollow grind ensures that the knife is amazing to use. It comes in a plastic sheath. This sheath keeps it perfectly in place. The sheath has a belt loop that can accommodate straps up to 5.5 cm wide.

Ich bin von dem "Gesamtkonzept" überzeugt - also dem haptisch gelungenen, leicht gebogenen Griff (Daumengriffmulde! Zeigefingerschutz!), der Klingenstärke & dem -material (Wer braucht bitte jemals 6mm Brechstangenstärke?), der ausreichenden Klingenlänge (in ÖSTERREICH dürfen sogar MACHETEN öffentlich geführt werden!), dem scharfen Schliff, und besonders der gelungenen Scheide mit Klemmspange; welche ein "hohes Tragen" also schwer sichtbares Führen des Messers erlaubt - aber auch ein leichtes Entfernen vom Gürtel. Die "Daumengegendruckmulde" an der Scheide erlaubt ein schnelles und druckstellenfreies Ziehen des Messers - auch dank der optimalen "Scheidenhaltespannung". (Wer sich beim Ziehen des "BECKERs BK2" schon mal fast den Daumen gebrochen hat, weiß, wovon ich schreibe.) Den weniger gefälligen "Buckel" auf der Rückseite der Klinge habe ich in wenigen Minuten heraus geschliffen, und habe jetzt sogar eine "scharfe Kante" für den Feuerstahl, und das Messer lässt sich auch noch leichter ziehen. In Summe ein attraktives Messer, zu einem akzeptablen Preis, für alle jene geeignet, welche ein zuverlässiges, strapazierfähiges aber auch "schnelles" MESSER - aber eben keine "Brechstange" suchen. (Welche man übrigens für nur 2,50.- im Billigladen kaufen kann...)
