The Reate PL-XT Stonewashed Nitro-V, Jade G10 is a cool, smaller pocket knife from Reate's PL series. PL in this case stands for 'Pivot Lock'. This innovative locking mechanism is similar in operation to CRKT's Deadbolt lock, but differentiates from it by retaining the smooth feel of a button lock. The blade can be opened quickly using the thumb studs combined with the 'oversized' ball bearings. When open, there is the option to push the slider forward, which prevents the Pivot Lock from being pressed. This prevents accidental folding during use! With its contoured handle, this pocket knife fills the hand well and the ergonomics are very pleasant, even with its smaller size.
