The **Reate K3** is a high-quality modern pocket knife with excellent craftsmanship. This is an incredibly well-made knife. It marks a new milestone in Reate's progressive production process, which it is constantly refining.



Reate has peppered the K3 with techniques and high-quality finishes as if they were nothing. Take a quick look at the design of the pivot and you'll see what we mean. The contours of the handle and the clean lines of the blade are sublime. The differences in finish on the blade also show that they really know what they're doing at Reate. Many Western producers can only dream of this quality. And all that from a production knife! 



The blade is made from Carpenter CTS-204P steel, a stainless powder steel made in the United States. It is incredibly stainless and has excellent sharpness retention. The beautiful hollow grind has a lovelysatin finish in two directions. The jimping on the spine of the blade is also stunning. A seemingly minimal element in the overall knife, but the little knurls have been made in a really difficult way. It's a great detail that will definitely be appreciated by true enthusiasts.


You open the blade with the flipper. The ceramic detent (which typically holds the blade in the handle) is perfectly adjusted. Sturdy enough to flip easily, but soft enough to feel pleasant against your finger. The ceramic ball bearings around the pivot allow the knife to open super smoothly. When opened, the blade is locked in place by a solid frame lock. As we've come to expect from Reate, the lockbar has a steel insert. This prevents the lock from going too far, so it will stay in great condition for years to come.




The Reate K3 comes in a luxurious storage case. This includes an additional pouch with two steel rings and some extra screws. So if you ever damage one of the screws, you already own a couple of spares. Very user-friendly!
