Blade made of D2 steel
The blade of the Real Steel Luna Phantom Flipper Double Detent 7008IS Satin D2, Ivory G10, pocket knife is made of D2. This is a tool steel that has been used for all kinds of cutting tools since World War II. It is tough, easy to sharpen and retains its sharpness very well. Do take care around moisture and acids; D2 is not entirely stainless. It may discolour or even rust if not properly taken care of. Therefore, it's important to clean and dry the blade after use, and a drop of oil every once in a while can't hurt.
