The **Petzl Spatha pocket knife** is entirely designed for climbers. The knife has a large hole that a carabiner can easily fit through. It has a large thumb hole so you can easily open the Spatha. But the knife can also be opened with the rotary wheel, even with gloves on. 

## The blade and handle of the Petzl Spatha

The blade is made from 12C27 steel. This is a stainless steel that is easy to maintain. The knife has a partially serrated blade, which easily cuts through rope and cord. The handle is made from lightly textured nylon.
