The **Ohta OFB SS 65** is a remarkably beautiful knife, made by master knife maker Hiroaki Ohta. The 65 in the name refers to the 65 mm blade length. This is already quite compact for a fixed knife, which is also reinforced by the low blade height. As such the Ohta OFB SS 65 is a great EDC pocket knife to carry in your pocket.



The blade is made from D2 steel. A tough type of steel that has been popular in the world of knives for years. It retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. Do, however, be careful with corrosion: D2 is not completely stainless. Fruit acids and such need to be rinsed off after use, otherwise you will see discolourations on the blade.



## Desert Ironwood


This type of wood is known as a wonderful material for handles. The pattern of the wood, the density and hardness are all qualities that make it very desirable. A fine polish completes the whole. The handle is made from one piece of Desert Ironwood.

The Ohta OFB SS comes in a remarkable leather, almost Scandinavian-styled, sheath. It contains a metal clip. With it you can hang it from the belt loop of your jeans.
