The **Medford Gentleman Jack 24-GJ-03 CPM S45VN Tumbled Tanto Blade, Blue Filigree Handle, Bronze Hardware & Clip** is a special knife in Medford's range. It is a traditional slipjoint! A cool and high-quality pocket knife for real gentlemen. The hollow grind on the blade was applied by hand. This is a unique feature: only few producers apply a hollow grind by hand. Because of the nail nick you can easily open the blade with two hands. A slipjoint offers resistance to make sure it won't accidentally close. But it is not a real lock. As such you can legally carry the Gentleman Jack in many places in Europe.




The Medford Gentleman Jack 24-GJ-03 CPM S45VN Tumbled Tanto Blade, Blue Filigree Handle, Bronze Hardware &amp; Clip, slipjoint pocket knife is a cool EDC knife in the colour blue, bronze. With its blade length of 7,9 cm, this knife is suitable for daily cutting tasks. For example, opening boxes, peeling an apple, the odd job around the house: this pocket knife can do it all.



You open the Medford with two hands. To make this easier, there's a nail nick which gives you a little extra grip using your fingernail. This pocket knife is not equipped with a full lock, only with a slipjoint mechanism. This provides some resistance to prevent the knife from snapping shut during normal use. However, if you press on the spine of the blade, the knife will shut.



## Blade made of CPM S45VN steel
The blade of this Medford Gentleman Jack is made of CPM S45VN steel. This is a premium type of stainless steel made by Crucible Industries in the US. S45VN retains its sharpness well, is pretty tough and very corrosion resistant. CPM S45VN  was developed as a successor to CPM S35VN. S45VN retains its sharpness even better than S35VN, and is even more resistant to corrosion too.



The blade of this knife is enhanced with a 'satin finish'. This is a chic and tasteful finish that is very popular.



## Titanium handle

The handle of this Medford Gentleman Jack is made of titanium and measures 10,1 cm in length. Titanium is a fantastic high-tech material. It is an excellent choice for the handle of a pocket knife for several reasons: titanium is very strong, lightweight and it is flexible. Moreover, titanium can be machined very precisely and a wide range of different finishes are possible. To be exact, the handle is made of a titanium alloy. Small amounts of aluminium and vanadium are added to pure titanium to make it even more suitable for use as a pocket knife handle.
