The **Medford AIO-2** is a hefty boy, designed according to the Marine Corps mantra 'Adapt, Improvise and Overcome'. The AIO was re-released in 2024 with more modern lines and user-friendly finish, with dull notches for attaching paracord or making a makeshift spear. It comes with a high-quality kydex sheath. This knife is not a gadget. It's a tool for people who need to be able to rely on their gear.



The blade of the Medford AIO-2, Tumbled CPM 3V Blade, Black G10, survival knife measures 15,5 cm in length and 4,6 mm in thickness. The total length is 29,21 cm.



## Blade made of CPM 3V steel
The blade is made of CPM 3V steel, a tool steel type known for its exceptional strength. Damage due to breaking therefore hardly ever occurs. CPM 3V retains its sharpness very well. However, you do have to be a little careful with moisture and acids: CPM 3V is not completely corrosion resistant. Keep this knife in perfect condition by taking care to clean it after use and applying a drop of oil every now and then.



The ‘stonewash’ process was chosen for the finish of this blade. The stonewash process involves the blade being placed inside a drum with ceramic stones, or media, and then vibrated or tumbled for several hours. The result is a finish that looks precisely polished or roughened depending on the version. The advantage of stonewashing, however, is that signs of use are much less noticeable. That makes it a popular choice for knives that see a lot of use.



## G10 handle
The Medford AIO-2, Tumbled CPM 3V Blade, Black G10, survival knife features a handle made from G10. This is a composite material made of glass fibre and synthetic resin. It is very strong, offers a lot of grip and is comfortable to hold. Moreover, it is not affected by moisture and it is a very stable material. It's an excellent choice for the handle of a fixed blade.



The Medford AIO-2, Tumbled CPM 3V Blade, Black G10, survival knife comes with a sheath made of kydex, a sturdy plastic that will keep the steel safe. However, it is important to keep a kydex sheath clean on the inside. Rinse it regularly with water. This will prevent dirt from remaining in the sheath, which can scratch the blade.
